Pokémon Team Builder
Pick up to six Pokémon and see every weakness, resistance and gap on your team.
This Pokémon team builder checks your type coverage as you go. Add a Pokémon, and the grid shows which of the 18 attack types hit your team hard, which ones bounce off, and where nobody on the team has an answer. It works for any main-series game and for building a competitive team.
Any Pokémon from the National Dex. Type at least two letters. Up and down to move, Enter to add, Esc to close
Only shows Pokémon you can catch or get in that game. Suggestions follow the same filter.

How the team builder works
- 1
Add up to six Pokémon.
Search by name or by type. Pick a game to see only the Pokémon in it.
- 2
Read the grid.
Every one of the 18 attack types is checked against every member. Red is weak, green resists, gray is immune.
- 3
Fix the gaps.
The “no answer” list shows the types nobody on your team resists. The suggestions are Pokémon that would plug those holes.

Questions
Is this Pokémon team builder free?
Yes. There is no account, no limit and no paid version. Build as many teams as you like.
Which games does the team planner cover?
Every main-series game from Red & Blue to the newest release, plus Legends: Arceus and Legends: Z-A. Pick a game in the filter and the search and suggestions only show Pokémon available there. Leave it on “All games” for the full National Dex.
What does “no answer” mean?
It means an attack type that at least one of your Pokémon is weak to, and that nobody on the team resists or is immune to. If an opponent brings that type, you have no safe switch. Those are the first gaps to fix.
Does it look at moves, abilities or stats?
Not yet. The builder checks types only. Abilities like Levitate or Water Absorb change real matchups, so treat the grid as a guide and use your own judgment for the final team.
Can I save my team?
Your team is encoded in the link. Bookmark the page or copy the link and it is saved. Open it on any device and the same team appears. Nothing is stored on our servers.
Is 4× weakness really that bad?
Yes. A 4× hit is four times the normal damage, and most Pokémon will not survive one super-effective move of that size. Try to keep every 4× weakness covered by a teammate that resists the same type.
